About Me
My first candle making experience was an inexpensive $12-15 candle kit my parents bought me. The kit only included two bags of wax beads, one white and one yellow, two essential oils for scenting the candle, and two glass containers.
Back then I had attached the wick base to the bottom of the container and poured in the wax beads, not aware that they had to be melted first. Then I lit the candle and watched it burn and wondered why it burned out so fast. I would later learn that it was because the freshly melted wax just went down between the beads without forming a melt pool, the fuel for the flame.
A few years later I had started making crayon candles, this was also a learning experience. The crayon candles would often burn out or smoke because of the type of dye used in the crayons to give them their color. Just a short time after that last failed experiment, I decided to do some research…

I learned of the many types of waxes and different candle wicks, not to mention the thousands of fragrance oils and containers to pick from. Then in 2024 I started experimenting with making hand dipped beeswax taper candles, which was a truly fun experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves arts and crafts! However, due to the difficulty making them consistent, and the problem of the beeswax prices at the time, I went back to the drawing board.
Then an idea came to me, Travel Candles… A candle made of organic soy wax in a durable metal tin - perfect to pack for traveling, whether to a hotel or a picnic, or even a hiking trip. Then I spent a great amount of my time testing, and retesting, this candle to ensure the utmost quality possible.
